Cancellation & Refund Policy
Source: SABAL University Academic Catalog 2026–2027
If a student wishes to cancel his or her enrollment either prior to or after classes have begun, they must notify the institution in person, by electronic mail or certified mail. The cancellation shall be effective on the date the notice is postmarked.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellation can be made in person, by electronic mail, by Certified Mail, or last date of attendance by the student or date of written notice received.
- All monies will be refunded if the school does not accept the applicant or if the student cancels within five (5) business days after signing the enrollment agreement and making initial payment.
- Cancellation after the fifth (5th) business day, but before the first class, results in a refund of all monies paid, except for the application fee (not to exceed $150.00).
- The drop/add period is the first week of classes. There will be a refund of all tuition and fees except the application fee if the student withdraws on or during the drop/add week. There will be no refund after the drop/add week.
- Termination date: in calculating the refund due to a student, the last date of actual attendance by the student is used.
- Refunds will be made within 30 days of termination of student enrollment or receipt of the cancellation notice from the student.
Course & Program Cancellation
A student who registered for a course or a program that is cancelled by the university will be given the opportunity to register for another course or receive a full refund of tuition and fees associated with that course.
Minimum Enrollment
If an online course does not meet the minimum number of students, the university may cancel it on the first day of classes and will make every effort to transfer affected students to another course that fits their needs. Even if a student has already accessed the online course platform, they will not be financially responsible for a cancelled course.
Course Withdrawal
- To withdraw, students notify the Registrar’s Office of their intent, in writing or orally; the Registrar documents the reasons and the date of the request.
- Withdrawals with refund: withdrawals requested during the drop/add period are refunded according to the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
- Withdrawals without refund: withdrawals requested after that deadline are not refunded and may affect the student’s academic progress.
