Our commitment
SABAL University is committed to making its website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We design and test this site to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the standard referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We review new pages before publishing them and run automated and manual checks periodically.
Accessibility options
Use the accessibility button at the bottom left of every page to adjust text size, contrast, link underlining, a more readable font, text spacing, animations and cursor size. Your choices are remembered on your device.
What we have built in
Semantic structure
Headings, landmarks and a “Skip to content” link so screen readers and keyboards can move quickly.
Keyboard navigation
Menus, tabs, carousels and dialogs work without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator.
Contrast and text
Colors meet AA contrast, and text can be enlarged up to 200% without losing content.
Alternative text
Meaningful images carry descriptions; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
Two languages
Every page is available in English and Spanish, with the page language declared.
Reduced motion
Animations stop automatically if your device asks for reduced motion.
Known limitations
- Some PDF documents, such as the academic catalog, may not be fully accessible. We will provide them in an accessible format on request.
- Third-party platforms we link to (online campus, library, maps, credential verification) are maintained by their providers and have their own accessibility policies.
